Gumshoe uses optional Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors discover the site, which writing and work they explore, and whether they choose to contact us. Analytics loads only after you accept it. You can use the site without accepting.
When enabled, Analytics receives information such as page visits, referral sources, browser and device information, engagement, and link interactions. It uses cookies to distinguish visits. Google processes this information through its Analytics service. We disable Google advertising signals and advertising personalization in our site configuration.
We measure email and phone link clicks as contact intent; we do not collect email contents through Analytics. A click does not tell us whether a message was sent or a conversation occurred. Please do not put sensitive information in website URLs or initial emails.
Your analytics preference is stored in this browser for up to six months. Use Analytics choices in the footer to change it. Declining or withdrawing consent stops our Analytics tracking and removes accessible Analytics cookies from this site. Browser privacy controls may also limit measurement.
Google Search Console provides aggregate search performance and indexing information without adding a visitor tracking script to this site. Hosting services may maintain operational access logs separately from optional Analytics.
External websites, including linked resources and embedded media, have their own privacy practices. Read Google’s information about partner sites for more about its services.
